Biking to old town farm
This is a Bike-In Focused Event – Montoya Rd. via The Mountain Road Bike Boulevard and the I-40 Bike Trail via the Bosque Bike Trail are the direct bike routes to Old Town Farm by bike from any area in the city.
Biking to Old Town Farm from nearby vehicle parking areas: Biking in to Old Town Farm (OTF) can be staged from various parking lots in the surrounding area when cars are used to transport bikes to the vicinity. |
Access is available from the north side of the property on the I-40 Trail between Rio Grande Blvd and Gabaldon Rd.
Albuquerque Botanical Gardens or Tingley Beach (2.4 miles): Take the Bosque Trail north to the I-40 trail and ride east to the OTF entrance.
Gail Ryba Bike Bridge (0.9 miles): From the west side of the river, follow the bike path that starts at the back of the WalMart parking lot. Cross the river on the bike bridge and cross the clear ditch. Go under I-40 and bear left to ride along the south side of the freeway on the I-40 Bike Path to Old Town Farm. Or..from the parking lot at the end of Gabaldon Place (west end of bike bridge across the river), ride south on the Bosque Trail under the I-40 bridge. Bear left and follow the bike path east next to the freeway sound wall. Cross Gabaldon Road (.7 miles) and continue for .2 mile. Immediately east of the Duranes Ditch is the entrance to the farm. Ride past the covered arena to the Red Barn.

Walking to old town farm
Reginald Chavez Elementary (0.60 miles): Head east towards the mountains. When you arrive at Montoya St. turn left (heading north) and follow the signs to OTF.
St. Clair Winery & Bistro (0.75 miles): Take Aspen Rd, located north of the center, to the right (west). Follow Aspen until you reach a well-marked bike path to your right and follow the path to OTF.
